Supremacy pick up Decibel for CS:S

Posted 05/15/2012 05:17 PM
Lachlan "nano" Pickford, Co-Founder of Team Supremacy "After having so many applications being sent in, we are proud to announce former-Team Decibel as our new CS:S team. Decibel have already proven themselves numerously in online tournaments and at local LAN events, we think they are the perfect mix to play under the Supremacy banner. We wish our new Counter-Strike: Source team all the best in the upcoming months ahead of us!"

Henry "ponco" Jerrard, Manager of Team Decibel "Decibel has been on the Source scene for over a year now, and we're ecstatic to announce our joining the Team Supremacy organisation. They've proven already to be a highly resoucesful and friendly group and we are extremely excited to prove ourselves in upcoming competitions and other future events for years to come. It was a bit sad to say goodbye to the name we've kept for so long, but it's a very good reason and a miniscule sacrifice for a fantastic reward!"

We at Team Supremacy look forward to working with them and helping them improve as a team. On top of all this, we hope to see our new CS:S team do very well at Melbourne and Queensland LANs. With all our support from our sponsors at performancegaming, pubgs & blue elph that will be supporting our FPS teams. We are keen to see this team do well next season.

League of Legends Crux Recap

Posted 05/14/2012 04:45 PM
The game started out with invades by both teams, Supremacy ( Blue team) invaded Crux Crew's (Purple team) blue golem buff first off. Meanwhile Crux Crew invaded Supremacy's red lizard buff and both teams got away with their invasions which resulted in everyone going back to their respective lanes. There was little action until the respawn of Purple team's blue golem buff. Mordekaiser and Shyvana sneaked into the brush overlooking the golem which triggered the "first blood" going to Team Supremacy as Nautilus was ambushed attempting to kill it.

Unfortunately Gragas managed to steal the blue buff. Theres not much action besides some severe counter-jungling by us until 5 mins later, when purple team successfully takes dragon. A gank at mid a few minutes after kills Crux's Gragas and results in blue team getting purple's red buff. Purple team's third blue buff is again stolen by Gragas. A minute later blue team attempts to dive graves under his tower which results in a messy teamfight where purple team emerges victorious with 4 kills to 1, losing their jungler and killing everyone on blue team but top lane, with gragas grabbing all 4 kills. Dragon is soon taken by purple team. Meanwhile the first tower of the game is taken down, with purple losing their top lane tower.

A few minutes later purple's bot lane tower falls. A small skirmish starts in purple's wraiths resulting in the death of olaf and yorick and then the purple team's middle two towers were destroyed. The blue team takes the third dragon, and catch gragas, resulting in 4 members of crux crew dying and middle inhibitor destroyed. The blue team attempt to push mid a minute later resulting in a bad engagement that leaves 4 members of blue dead while 3 of purple die. Soon after baron is taken by blue buff and a push by blue side results in all of purple towers dead.

Team Supremacy starts moshing to Gears of War 3!

Posted 05/07/2012 06:48 PM
Steven "demzy" Watson, Co-Founder of Team Supremacy "After long reviewing of applicants, we have made a decision to mosh to Gears of War 3 for the first time. Team Supremacy are proud to announce former-Reborn Gears of War 3 team - The Pinata Pals! We've heard of upcoming Gears of War 3 leagues on Cybergamer and we have definitely found a great team to represent us. The Pinata Pals possess previous LAN experience, online success and a great attitude towards growth, we have strong belief that the former-Reborn team will fit perfectly with our organisation."

Roguey and Metapod of The Pinata Pals "On behalf of the whole team, we'd like to personally thank Team Supremacy for giving us the opportunity to represent them. As most of the community is eagerly awaiting Season 2 and the introduction of an invite league, we are going to do our best to represent Team Supremacy and we're really looking forward to achieving some great results. You will see our team at ACL Melbourne LAN and on the Online Events in between and we honestly appreciate the opportunity given. Looking forward to contributing to the Organisation and great to be apart of it!"

Team Supremacy look forward to covering all the online action in the upcoming leagues and events our Gears of War 3 team participates in. On top of this, we hope to see them do well at ACL Melbourne, the same event our Modern Warfare 3 team will be attending in July. With the support of Evil Controllers becoming more predominant we hope to dominate the XBOX360 scene in the upcoming seasons and offline.

Kingston Technology Call of Duty Professional Leagues Week 1

Posted 04/25/2012 02:46 PM
Supremacy Call of Duty 4 division played Round 1 of the CG-A league on [Monday 23rd of April and the] map was mp_citystreets. Coming into this match we were [fifty-fifty] on if we would win or not as the team we came up against was Aura and they are a solid team with a solid lineup. We had practiced for about an hour and half prior to the match commencement which is very little, the match started as Supremacy on attack and Aura defence, it went off as Supremacy and Aura went round for round for the first 6-8 rounds however Supremacy stopped getting the rounds on attack once we hit 5 as we somewhat fell apart to Aura's strong defence and the first half ended 10-5 Aura's favour... We then went to Defence side and Aura still followed through with there demanding gameplay and taking it to a 14-5 advantage without supremacy getting a round, We then pulled our heads together and begun a strong comeback winning round after round without Aura gaining a round until the very end and Aura took the last 2 rounds they needed to get to win the match and the final score was 16-13 Aura's way. [Thanks to] Aura, it was a well played game and the lack of practice from us showed quite easily.. We look forward to future scrims and potentially a finals match against you.. To the boys of Supremacy that played, unsane/shamez/rageharder/frost it was a strong game given we were stumped early on but we came back strong and really showed what we as a team can do when we put our heads together, with a little more practice during the week and scrims leading up to wars we can really dominate the CG-A division we are placed in and take out the Grand Final when it comes[!]

Sennheiser HD558 Review

Posted 04/20/2012 11:25 AM
For more than 60 years the name Sennheiser has stood for the highest quality products and customised solutions across all areas of sound recording, transmission and reproduction. As one of the world's leading providers of integrated solutions for electro-acoustic products, systems and services they're constantly setting themselves the challenge of developing creative answers which satisfy the requests and requirements of our customers. Now its time to put their skills to the test as we unravel the Sennheiser HD558 headphones.

First impressions of Sennheiser's HD558 headphones were: it's shape was different to any other pair of headphones I had ever purchased, the padding was to the extreme and the strengthened area around the cord. These all are innovative moves by Sennheiser to maximise the comfort of their users and enhance the durability of their products. I will talk more about these aspects later on, as for the visual appearance I believe it is appealing and showcases the Sennheiser brand very well.

Tick Box:

  • Visual Appearance: Yes
  • Left & Right speakers labelled: Yes
  • Brand noticeable: Yes
  • Interchangeable sizes: Yes
  • Strong cord: Yes
  • Strong jack: Yes
  • Different jack sizes (applicable to expensive/professional audio headphones: Yes

Once I put Sennheiser's HD558 on, I noticed the reasons why its shape was made in such a funny, unique way. As soon as you adjust the size to your liking, your head is completely immersed within the HD558. The headphones sit in the most comfortable position for your head and the ear pads surround your ear perfectly. This means that the speakers project directly into your ear providing you with the optimum experience possible. The extreme padding completed every gap between your skull and the base of Sennheiser's HD558, wasn't rough on your skin and was quite comfortable. Although, it may be quite overwhelming at first as Sennheiser's HD558 does put quite a bit of pressure on your head, within a day your head will have adjusted accordingly.

The first test I put Sennheiser's HD558 headphones through was the vigorous test of producing my favourite genre of music - post-hardcore, coupled with "The Color Morale" this proved to be the most important test to decide whether or not it survives. Of course, Sennheiser delivers. The sound was crystal clear, I could hear every beat without any static. I was very impressed as a lot of headphones fail to provide a high quality experience when listening to music. Tripled with a soundcard the Sennheiser HD558 headphones could be lethal to any rival brand out on the market.

Sennheiser's HD558 headphones includes their, "innovative E.A.R. technology which ensures accurate channeling of audio signals into your ears, as well as sophisticated Duofol diaphragms which reduce unwanted resonances to an absolute minimum." As I have previous mentioned the sound produced from the HD558 was crystal clear, no unwanted resonances occurred. E.A.R stands for Eargonomic Acoustic Refinement which is the reason why Sennheiser's headphones have a different shape to regular headphones. They have diversified from the "norm" shape of headphones into a dynamic, new shape which allows accurate channeling of audio into your ear. This changes the way your ears receive audio for the better, providing the optimum experience.

From a gaming perspective, you can hear footsteps perfectly which is a pinnacle part of first person shooters. The HD558 provides great directional sound and due to Sennheiser's innovative Eargonomic Acoustic Refinement technology, the audio is channeled accurately into your ear allowing you to pinpoint your enemy and shut him down before he even realises it. For every other sound, it performs like every other decent pair of headphones which isn't necessarily a bad thing. The HD558 has now tested for both personal sound and gaming sound, I believe it can survive till the finish line of this review. I don't feel as though I was hindered by the HD558, I felt as though I was in control of what sound I was hearing.

I would recommend Sennheiser's HD558 headphones for both professional audio uses and gaming uses. It provides great comfort whilst giving the user a unique audiophile experience. Sennheiser is still one of the world's leading providers of integrated solutions for electro-acoustic products, systems and services. Sennheiser have provided a creative answer to comfort of long-using gamers and E.A.R has satisfied the needs of my audiophile obsession.

Overall Score:

10/10 - A cheesy score but nonetheless it is value for money, one of the best audio experiences I have felt over the years.

Co-founder of Team Supremacy Steven "demzy" Watson is very happy to have MeaNy on board: It's always great having new members on board and with the recent departure of Delete to Sequential Gaming, it was definitely needed. The guys are more than happy with MeaNy's capabilities and I hope they work well with team. Over the next few weeks they will be facing more and more teams - so I hope to see MeaNy in action very soon! A little bit about MeaNy:

Given that I hated RTS games, I was never going to approach starcraft2, but I was just going to try out its campaign. After being amazed by the graphics, I decided to keep playing the game and realized that itâs not as difficult as I thought (because I kept 3 raxing during the beta). I have never made an achievement out of this game, but from recent rapid improvement, Iâm looking forward to do much more in the future.

To check out MeaNy and his Starcraft 2 awesomeness, don't forget to subscribe and follow him on the following websites: www.twitch.tv/meanysc2 and www.youtube.com/meanytv Our Starcraft 2 team will be organising a number of clan wars over the next few weeks, if anyone wishes to request a clan war send an email to: steven@team-supremacy.net and we can have a chat!
